16th December 2015- New Delhi- For the "first time in post independence history", Rashtrapati Bhawan reverberated with Thirukural.

 

First Kural was sung by students from Tamilnadu who were there to participate in Thirukural in parliament programme on 17th Dec. organised by SYT (Students and Youth for Thiruvalluvar - chaired by Thiru Tarun Vijay M.P.)

 

About three hundred students and teachers and their parents were thrilled to see Rashtrapati Bhawan, and have a photo op with Hon. President of India, opposite the prestigious Mughal Garden of Rastrapathi Bhawan.

 

They were accompanied by Thiru Tarun Vijay, Chairman, SYT; & Principal Dr.Ram Subramanyam National coordinator, SYT; Supreme Court Senior Lawyer Thiru.Mohan Parasaran, Thiru.Lakshmi Narayanan and several other Tamil dignitaries.

 

Hon. President of India congratulated Tarun Vijay and greeted all students and said that this is a good step towards national unity and integrity.

 

Hon. President of India has always supported and blessed efforts to propagate Thirukural, said Tarun Vijay and added that he feels grateful to the Hon.President of India for his encouragement.

 

The students and teachers felt emotionally excited when they sang Thirukural in Rashtrapathi Bhawan and later, they thoroughly enjoyed the Tea Party hosted by the Hon.President of India.

 

Thanks to Thiru.Tarun Vijay M.P. for all the strenuous efforts he is putting to bring glory to Tamil Annai at the National Level.
